The World Cup Schedule is Set

The 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup finally has its roadmap. FIFA unveiled the full schedule over the weekend, confirming when and where all 104 matches will be played across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

The United States is hosting a staggering 78 games, including every match from the quarterfinals onward. The final is set for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, with a 3:00 p.m. ET kickoff engineered for prime-time European viewership. Friday’s draw, featuring a star-studded slate of appearances, set the stage for a tournament stretched across 16 cities and three countries — the largest World Cup in history.

FIFA officials said the schedule balances recovery time, travel demands, and global broadcast needs across a footprint that spans multiple climate zones and time zones. Team USA will open its campaign June 12 in Los Angeles against Paraguay, followed by matches against Australia in Seattle and the UEFA playoff C winner back at SoFi Stadium. Co-host Mexico opens the entire tournament June 11 in Mexico City, while Canada kicks off a day later in Toronto.

Group play runs through June 27 before a knockout stage that sweeps from Los Angeles to Boston to Mexico City. From there, the path funnels toward Dallas and Atlanta for the semifinals, Miami for the third-place match, and New Jersey for a finale that will cap the biggest World Cup ever staged.
